Azerbaijani President: "TANAP and TAP are important in implementation of big transnational projects"
The 18th Eurasian Economic Summit has kicked off in Istanbul, Turkey.

Ministry of Communication and High Technologies told that Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and High Technologies Ali Abbasov, who chaired opening of summit organized by Marmara Group Foundation, noted that the Foundation has merits in economic development of Eurasian region: “It’s pleasant that Turkey and Azerbaijan support Eurasian Economic Summit”.

Assistant of Azerbaijani President Ali Hasanov has read message of the President Ilham Aliyev. The president said in his message that the summits serve development of relations among Eurasian nations and states and spoke about Azerbaijan’s leading role in the regional economic processes.

The President also drew attention to commence of transnational projects and importance of TANAP, TAP and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway projects. Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan is able to host European Games and Islamic Olympic Games after 2 years.

President of the Marmara Group Foundation Akkan Suver thanked Azerbaijan for support to summits. He drew attention to Azerbaijan’s role in strengthening of economic links among the Eurasian countries: “In order to revive historical Silk Road, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and Marmaray project will make the dreams of the generation, to which I belong, come true”.

Suver thanked to Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and High Technologies Ali Abbasov for issuance of memorial postmark on the 30th anniversary of Marmara Group Foundation.

The 18th Eurasian Economic Summit is being attended by former heads of state and government of a number of countries.
